2009 Reunion

Reunion November 13th and 14th 2009. If you didn't go you missed a great weekend. Look out for the next one in 2011, probably in the same location, at the same time of year. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it) The Nautical Club, Birmingham, was an excellent location - good beer at reasonable prices, great food, and stuffed to the gunwales with naval memorabilia. The venue was suggested at the 2007 reunion by Jim Hewitt, who had been coming for many years with the HMS Diana association. It is sad that Jim didn't live to attend the Bacchante reunion. We did however welcome the recently bereaved widows of 2 Bagshanties, Gaynor Williams, widow of Bungy (JJ) Williams, and Beverley Gracie, widow of Stan, who traveled from Canada to be here in Stan's place. I would like to thank Andy Thomas for organising the event, it went very smoothly. |
